KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION...the most LETHAL Weapon against UMNO and Liars, and among the REAL Malay Dilema.

Some or many people have wondered HOW I could go
round after round in debates against some of the
UMNO ( United Malay National Organization ) idiots that you would find online today. Usually pissing them off...
Especially those in the group which I am co-administrator
of in Facebook called "Anak Muda Benci UMNO" or
"AMBU" for short.

But the answer really isn't that hard...it's simply
KNOWLEDGE. As a Malay myself who's been studying the root causes behind the old "Malay Dilema" or the problems in the lack of progress and productivity among
Malays who are the majority race in Malaysia as well as their success rate compared to the non-Malays in the Malaysian economy, one has to literally get 'used' to both studying and 'observing' some of the common 'typical'
Malay behaviors you would find in Malaysia and of course those displayed by those Malays who are supporting UMNO as a corrupted political organization leading Malaysia today.

One has to observe 'common traits' or behaviors they display, while at the same time finding 'common' roots
or backgrounds which are SHARED by them which may explain their monotonous behaviors, which after awhile, most of them not only begin to TALK alike, they SAY the SAME things as well as THINK alike as well, which if one truly analyzes, you would come to realize makes them pretty much PREDICTABLE in all aspects making them much easier to 'corner' in fact.

If you're used to observing as well as being exposed to such typical kind of Malays of UMNO... they kind who normally cause stereotypes as well as 'enmity' or 'hatred' towards the Malay race due to their uncivilized and racist behaviors, you will begin to notice that even much of their BODY LANGUAGE in terms of communication when in public, sitting in a group of friends is also pretty much the same.

When it come to being the 'life of the party' in such meetings they have hanging out together over 'teh-tarik' ( tea ) or coffee with their 'friends' who are also pro-UMNO supporters, you'll notice their good at telling jokes, spreading gossips and rumors, which mostly are unconfirmed, and when it comes to telling stories, one common thing or behavior you'll notice is they are GOOD ACTORS trying very HARD to be as convincing as possible.

ONE Common thing I've always noticed is that, sometimes or a LOT of times these TYPICAL type of UMNO Malays whom I'd categorize as the FEUDAL MALAYS often like to talk as if they are a 'specialist' in some sort of field or information. When one thing that you often have to be wary and careful of is that these types of Malays often pick information from out of thin air and make-up a story then and there or...they actually know or knew somebody who IS a specialist in such a field, listen to them carefully, asking questions and memorizing what these people say, and when it comes to relaying that information ( usually for PERSONAL GAINS or purposes ) they make it seem as if THEY are ones who are the experts and specialist in such fields trying hard to convince you in order to gain your trusts.

In the Malay language we call it 'KAKI TEMBERANG' or simply put strong 'bullshitters'.
These type of Malays in particular whom sadly you'll find MANY within UMNO today in-fact spend their entire lifetime living a lie. They often are pretenders, pretending to be whom or what they are not as much of the types of Malays you'll find in UMNO today in-fact suffer from a form of INFERIORITY COMPLEX. Which is a common syndrome and in-fact a massive part of the 'Malay Dilema'.

One of the major problem is in-fact that this problem derives itself from lack or poor education among Malays, particularly UMNO supporters of today which makes them easy targets by the upper TIER of UMNO whom mostly are educated but sadly IMMORAL individuals who exploit the grass-root supporters of UMNO who are uneducated or poorly educated and take advantage of them.

I other cases, such or most of those types of individuals although educated, do not possess the RIGHT kind of education pertaining to Public Policy of what the JOB of a Government and a People's Representative is all about. Among such knowledge purely lacking in such type of Malays is both in Commerce and of Economics. But sadly due to the decades of the New Economic Policy ( NEP ), it has bred a form of Malay traders who view business almost solely as government procurements and contracts when business could take on any form as well as any field. But as I have written in my previous blog posting old article on the uncensored history of Malaysia...

http://adifferentkindofmalay.blogspot.com/2010/02/uncensored-history-of-malaysia-what-our.html

... knowledge in Economics, Trade and Finance has in-fact been the ongoing ROOT causes of the Malay Dilema for such a long-long time even till this very day.

Without proper knowledge in Economics, Malays...especially those who blindly support UMNO could not properly evaluate their own leadership or even policy makers to realize that their policies are only more detrimental towards the country and the Malays in general than beneficial to the long run.

But one of the BEST ways in-fact to DEFEND against such blind supporters, hypocritical posers and liars in UMNO is through Education and knowledge.

As for myself, being born with a dad who's an academician has had it's advantages, which I consider a blessing as my father has always been adamant on me learning from a very young age. Exposing me to the writings in English Literature from a very-very young age as early as 9 to some of the works of great authors such as Shakespeare, Mark Twain, Charles Dickens etc.

It was from here I developed my passion for reading and knowledge. But after going through the 'school of hardknocks' as soon as I returned from studies in the USA trying to do early business joint-ventures with my own Malay people.

The FIRST lesson in business which I learned was in-fact something which you CAN'T learn in business school or doing an MBA is about Human Behavior. The REAL knowledge in-fact comes in learning how to judge to trust in 'characters' or human beings and learning how to READ them.

This can be a very expensive lesson for those starting out in business and a very costly, as well as demotivating for many Malays in particularly cause if you ARE a Malay, the danger itself lies in starting or trying to do business with your OWN kind, whom sadly do not by majority come from a Culture of Businessmen and Traders unlike Chinese, Indian-Muslims, or Arabs which have been trading for Centuries.

It was in-fact after observing the typical common behavior of Malays in 'business' whom often made empty promises, not being able to deliver on time and of course flabbergasting whenever talking about business during a meeting outside that I began to notice this common trait and behavior and begun to realize that most of these types of con-artist or inexperienced traders share common body languages which can be observed in the WAY they talk. But in order to observe this, this requires exposure and experience itself, and you will NOT be able to come across or see such types of behaviors in business school itself.

But furthermore, after several joint-ventures with Malays whom in the end didn't work out, where one thing in common they had was not only targeting the Government for contracts, which sadly to me seems as if it's the ONLY source of revenue for the Malays in Malaysia instead of the OPEN MARKET like the non-Malays, the other factor which I observed shared was also 'greed' among the Malays once they do manage to receive such government procurements and tenders for supply of goods and services, which in made me disgusted at times with my own kind. But this behavior is also one of the reasons why Malays in business often never succeed in the long run as they would sacrifice trust as well as friendships in order to gain all for themselves sometimes in the short run.

But the more and more I came across my own type or kind of KAKI TEMBERANG type of Malays or CON-MEN, the more I came to value Knowledge. Not only for bettering myself as a person or individual, but also for discovering or finding out in researching the causes behind many of the problems among Malays and in our country today.

I also realized the value of knowledge as one of the BEST DEFENSE against such type of con-artiste that exist out there who make-a-living out of taking information they hear or gain from others then pretending to be the 'experts' when talking with others. The only way to AVOID being conned by such people was having the knowledge and information about such subjects yourself, which requires personal investment in either training, books or education.

But one thing I love the most about reading and learning is, the MORE you read, the more you REALIZED that there still is a LOT out there that you DON'T know.

Thus I've made it a priority to pick-up at least 1 new book every month and finish it. For me, my personal favorites for learning has always been TEXT BOOKS for College. I learned that it takes at least 2 years of studying a particular topic to get to a level where you could almost understand and talk like a pro in the particular topic. If you had the ability to speed-read, perhaps it would be faster and this time period would be cut short.

But the other advantage of TEXT BOOK reading is that it is often a COMPILATION of research and knowledge by various professors in a particular field, thus helping to cut-down your OWN time in having to do your own extensive research. New Editions and volumes of text books often update the latest research within that particular field of knowledge thus updating you on any current trend.

For those who truly love knowledge, my best recommendations is always McGraw Hill publications. Particularly in the field of business and finance, as McGraw Hill also ownes the Standard & Poor Company or S&P which is also one of the top NRSRO ( Nationally Recognized Statistical Ratings Organization ) that helps grades the issuance of BONDS in the market as well as monitoring the performance of the S&P 500 which is a list of the top 500 performing public listed corporations in America. Thus most of their information is usually up to date and concise for studying trends in the market.

2nd I would recommend Wiley & Sons publications, especially their Wiley Finance division.

But most of my study and research or reading all this while has always been on Human Civilization in general and the things that effect the development of human civilization, either as a nation or even races within a society.

My admiration has always been in great thinkers of our time, men who changed the world and had a passion for knowledge such as Isaac Newton, Einstein, Al-Farabi ( Alpharabeus ), Adam Smith, Friedrich Hayek, John Maynard Keynes, and many others. For it is with the pen of these very people our entire civilization of today has been changed.

It is also only with knowledge and proper education, especially shared and disseminated by all Malaysians that such corrupted parties and regimes such as UMNO today could be defeated as they live and thrive off of the very support of either corrupted individuals, or in the case of many of their grass-root supporters, the poorly educated and low-intellect type of Malays who are mostly in the dark.

Only ENLIGHTENMENT can defeat UMNO...and enlightenment is in-fact something which majority of my own fellow Malays lack...

For this very particular reason I have started this blog, not merely as a place of rantings or criticism but also as a place to SHARE knowledge with others...and I hope many of you out there reading my blog would help spread and share the knowledge and information with others too...
